I'm sure Reid Peppard from RP/Encore (a London based fashion line) thinks that she's very innovative when she uses animals killed by cars in her new jewelry line.
Yes, I admit that I'm not this creative, as this idea would have never occured to me.
Peppard was studying fine arts at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London when she lost her mind and became interested in taxidermy. Taxidermy is an "excellent" idea that I that I would also never touch.
I don't see talent in making jewelry with dead animals where their little faces are still showing pain.
To me, looking at furry little faces suffering is very sad.
But Peppard seems to love the idea to collect little dead bodies beside the road and turning them into jewelry and accessories. Her line is disrespectful, tasteless, unnecessary and screaming for attention.
Reid Peppard, grab some gemstones and some gold and make something beautiful and new out of them! Yes, that would require creativity and talent because of the so many jewelry designers out these. You would be probably unable to come up with something memorable or even mentionable.
Just to sum it up, animals who are our close relatives biologically, can feel pain, can feel love.
They don't want to die, they want to see the sunlight, they want feel the wind and smell the rain. Just like us.
When these intelligent creatures die, it's very disrespectful to play with their dead bodies, hang their dead bodies around human necks and wrists.
She says that no animals are suffering for fashion here. Peppard, who is a vegetarian, uses animals that are "victims of roadkill, pest control, or natural death," with the occasional use of a feeder rat.
Occasional use of feeder rats?!
Idiot! I'm sorry. Thank God that this is my own blog and I can write anything I want! So again: idiot bitch! People keep rats as pets. They are highly intelligent.
So when Peppard feels the need to use a feeder rat in her jewelry, what does she do? She goes out to buy some healthy rats, takes them home and then what? How she kills them? She steps on them or what?
She also says: "If you don't like it, then just look away. So many people are unwilling to look inwards. They are unable to see beyond what they want to see." Omg! Thank you for clarifying.
Now I'm really tired of even think of this anymore, so here are some pictures of her line, just to upset you even more...;)
Oh, and I wish that after her death, some talented soul would make her body into usable objects. For example her head could be - after removing the brain and tissues - a bowl. You could just cut the upper part off and use the nose as a handle... Ok, enough of me right now! Lol. I just hate her, that's it.

This is sick. And I just can't imagine why would people wear dead animals around. I think she is using them because she is hopeless to work with the 'normal' material (ie lack of talent)
